Blu-ray is a cost effective High Definition (HD) format for consumer, festival, and theater distribution. TPEX offers Blu-ray mastering, duplication, and replication services for both PAL & NTSC. Blu-ray discs are available as “single side single layer” (BD-25) and “single side double layer” (BD-50).
We accept HDCAM, DVCPRO HD and HDV tapes, but additional charges will apply for capture and encoding. Alternately, you may provide digital files in the following formats:
- Video: MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1, QT (MOV)
- Audio: AIFF, AC3 (Dolby Digital), WAV, MP1, MP2, MP3, ABS, MPA
TPEX recommends a Variable Bit Rate of 15,000 mbps to 24,000 mbps for Blu-ray masters. Higher bit rates are available for festival and theater use.
TPEX offers the following Blu-Ray mastering options:
- Auto Start and Stop
- Auto Start to Main Menu (Sub-Menus available) and End at Main Menu
- Auto Start to Main Menu and Stop
TPEX will create custom menus from provided backgrounds and buttons. Additional charges will apply for more than two menus. We accept the following image files: PSD, BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, and TIF.
The normal turnaround time for Blu-ray mastering is 1 to 2 business days from receipt and approval of the video, audio, and image files.
